Tomii x SimWorks Collaboration Tire: “Faraway” - Sand x Tan -
I’ve always loved the landscapes of the Southwest.
The bikes and components I build often reflect its Southwest landscapes and details, and I wanted to carry that influence into an original tire design.
In 2022, with the support of SimWorks, I set out to bring this idea to life. Two and a half years later, the “Faraway” tire is ready.
The concept was simple: create a tire that feels playful and makes you want to go on a gravel adventure - while still performing across all road conditions. The center tread is smooth, with fine cross-hatch grooves that grip well and quiet on pavement and hard-packed roads. On the sides, you’ll find knobby patterns inspired by saguaro cacti, mountains, and the moon-designed to enhance traction on corners and rougher terrain.
